Our Vision
In design and technology, we encourage our students to become proficient in using their creativity and imaginations. Our pupils design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, and consider their own and others’ needs, wants and values. We encourage students to draw upon disciplines such as mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art and learn how to take risks, become resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens. Our students will know and understand that high-quality design and technology makes an essential contribution to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of the nation.
Food is a vital part of our daily lives and essential for life. As our students become adults, we want them to develop a greater awareness to enable them to make healthy food choices, so that they are able to feed themselves and others both affordably and nutritiously, now and in the future.
