Below you will find a breakdown of each year group, including the curriculum that is taught, learning demonstrations we use to assess knowledge and skills, what enrichment opportunities the department provides and what can be expected in terms of homework. Our Vision

Our aim is to develop students who are able to see the world from a range of perspectives and are able to notice, explain and explore how writers construct texts purposefully, while also allowing them to develop the stamina required to craft their own texts deliberately. We are intent on developing global citizens who see beyond their immediate context, appreciating a world that is beyond their front door. We prepare students to be active learners, active leaders and active citizens of the world who are developing lifelong relationships with literacy (both reading and writing) and have a secure grasp of the spoken word.
