The Lions Club of Littleport recently sponsored the annual Lions Peace Poster contest. The theme this year was “Journey of Peace”
The winner,  after a close fought contest, was Hannah a student at Littleport Academy.

Hannah has taken the first step to become an internationally recognised artist by winning a local competition organised by The Lions Club of Littleport.  Hannah’s poster was among more than 600,000 entries submitted worldwide in the 32nd annual Lions contest.

Students from Witchford Village College and Littleport Academy set a high standard this year but, unfortunately there could only be one winner.

Michael Stares,Littleport  Lions Club President, was very impressed with the quality of entries and said “It is obvious that these young people have strong ideas about what peace means to them”

Hannah’s poster will face stiff competition through national and international entries. The eventual winner will receive US$5000 at a ceremony in New York. The 23 runners up will each receive a certificate and US$500.

Lions International has over 1.4 million members in over 200 countries worldwide and geographical areas, and is the largest service organisation in the world.
